Full speed ahead
HITCHHIKERS hits the highway; BENJAMIN on the horizon
What would you have done differently?
In HITCHHIKERS, my new Audible Original, a sweet young woman named Annie has a stalker—a homeless woman living across the street in her car, who is unnervingly focused on Annie and her fiancé, Greg.
The homeless woman claims to be Annie from the future, come to warn Annie not to go through with the wedding. To warn her off from the dark and violent future she is about to unknowingly sign herself up for.
The stranger knows this future, because she’s lived it, and she’s here to keep her younger self from making the same mistake.
HITCHHIKERS is racking up the ol’ 5-star reviews, and earned a “Most Listened” badge from Audible. I don’t know exactly what that means, but it can’t be bad.
This is my fourth Audible Original. I’ve written a collection of short stories about COVID-era crooks; an audio drama about a vengeful amateur novelist; a high-tech spin on Strangers on a Train; and a hallucinatory crime story about a sentient audiobook. All great fun.
[[This is, conversely, my first Substack mailing, and if it’s reached you in error don’t hesitate to unsubscribe!! ]]
Next from me—coming out in June—is my first-ever comic book, a sci-fi mystery head-spinner called (coincidentally?) BENJAMIN, from the amazing Oni Press.
You can read more about BENJAMIN right here.
While I’m at it, if you missed my most recent novel, well that’s BIG TIME, still available wherever books are sold.
Good luck out there, friends.

Congratulations, Ben!!!
